Bereavement Services (Grief Counseling)

While no one can prepare you for the loss of a loved one, Prisma Health’s chaplains and grief counselors can help. Asking for their support is the first step in the process, and we offer a range of services in our hospitals and home care and hospice programs.

Begin the healing journey

Our services are so well integrated into our care that we serve as a teaching site for theological training. Our counselors will help you grieve and heal in a safe environment that respects religious differences.

Chaplain services

 Chapel service

Worship services are held throughout the week in our hospitals and on our hospital TV channel.

Clergy and church service

Our chaplains can function as a liaison between patients and their local churches or congregations.

Individual, on-call service

Our chaplains are available 24/7, year-round, for patients and families in need of spiritual care. Our chaplains help people of all faiths, providing both spiritual and non-religious support, guidance, prayer and meditation, rites and ceremonies, baptism, communion, anointing and grief counseling.
