Inpatient Stroke Program

The Inpatient Stroke Program of Roger C. Peace Hospital (RCPH) offers a breadth of services and maintains specialty accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). RCPH is a partner to Greenville Memorial Hospital which has advanced certification by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. We are a member of the American Stroke Association and an ACBIS Alliance Member through the Brain Injury Association of America.

The Inpatient Stroke Program at RCPH helps patients advance from inpatient rehabilitation to the next level of care.

Inpatient rehabilitation services include:

  • A comprehensive and interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, dietitians, therapists, case managers and psychologists dedicated to providing expert care to those with brain injury
  • A specialty unit including patient rooms, nursing care units, and gym space specifically designed to meet the unique needs of a person with a stroke
  • Specialized medical management, nursing and therapy in a hospital setting
  • Neuropsychology services
  • Individualized family training to prepare families and caregivers for safe transition home
  • Co-treatment with interdisciplinary teams
  • Community outings
  • Transition to the next appropriate level of care when you graduate from the inpatient rehabilitation program
