What people are saying

Organization and process

Thank you for recognizing the effort that went into each site’s logistics.

Wow! What a great experience! Yes, there were a lot of cars, but it was well organized and flowed flawlessly. Congratulations for a job well done.

The processes are well thought out, well-staffed, and very efficient. The idea to take over the vacant, cavernous former Kmart store was brilliant. Those working there are outstanding.

My 84-year-old parents went to the Kart Prisma, as they call it, for a COVID vaccine last Friday. My mom’s quote was “it was wonderful!” According to them, everyone was so nice, and it was so quick and well organized. She has told all her friends – and that is a lot of folks.

Many congratulations to Prisma Health for how well organized everything was. All went very fast and smooth. Everyone was very polite and professional.

Amazingly well designed, organized and executed COVID vaccination. Longest wait was the 15 minutes AFTER the vaccination.

With a long career in technical management, it was clear to me from my experience that a great deal of thought, education and common sense went into the preparation to give the vaccine.

Kindness and compassion

Our purpose is to serve with compassion.

Your employees were great. They knew what they were doing, were polite and great. Thank you.

A big THANK YOU to those working at the Prisma Health Kmart Plaza. Lots of smiles.

I was professionally greeted and directed from one area to the next. I felt very safe.

I was impressed at each step by the respectful, courteous and friendly attitude of all those providing the vaccination service. They were polite but worked quickly, and to a person they conveyed a sense of confidence in what they were doing, as well as making each client feel as if they were the most important person in the room.

Great experience

We strive to be the difference.

I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff working at the Gamecock Park vaccination site. My husband and mother went yesterday and have a great experience. I am so proud of how Prisma Health has stepped up to help the community.

I went yesterday and could NOT have been more complimentary about how Prisma was handling everything – the staging and the staff – everything!

We want to thank Prisma Health and all the personnel involved in the COVID Vaccination Clinic for making the COVID vaccine available to the public and for the extraordinary manner in which the vaccines were administered. My husband and I were awed at the size, organization and efficiency of the clinic. We wish to thank the teams that planned the incredible logistics; set up all the chairs, tables, walkways, etc.; greeted and guided people as we came through; registered everyone; and administered the vaccines. Everyone we encountered was efficient, polite and pleasant. It was an amazing example of excellent planning, logistics and teamwork.

The vaccination site at William Brice Stadium was very busy and very organized this morning. Thank you, volunteers and National Guard, for making this an easy process for two old folks. Everyone was so friendly and did a great job!

I took my husband today for his appointment for his COVID vaccine. His appointment was at the USC field across from the stadium. I can't say enough good things about the setup, the professionals and our experience.  This was set up so well to handle the patient, pre and post vaccines. I am so proud of the Prisma professionals and the job that they did today. Great job!

Overcoming challenges

Thank you for extending grace and encouragement.

I was there today with my parents and mother-in-law, all over age 80. We had 10:30 appointments, but on arrival had the option to wait or reschedule. We did stand in line from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but Prisma staff did an incredible job updating the line with status, providing assistance to those in line that chose to reschedule, providing chairs, water, snacks to all waiting. And once the vaccine arrived at 1:00 it took us 1 hour 45 minutes to move the entire length of the outside of the store, through the lines inside and get the shot. We were completed and on the way out by 2:30. Phenomenal job moving that crowd of elders so quickly and politely!

Today I received my second shot and I want to commend everyone I met with at the Kmart site. I was supposed to get the shot yesterday, but the vaccine ran out before I got to the front door. Today I went and got the shot. A gentleman named Chris helped me check in. There was a problem as my appointment was for the day before and no one had validated it when the center shut down. He worked that problem kindly and efficiently. The volunteers who urged us through the long lines were helpful and polite. They walked up and down, bringing chairs and bottles of water. The site manager periodically updated the crowd on the status of the vaccine. It arrived early and so the medical staff began giving shots early, too. That was a moment of cheer. A nursing student named Trish and her computer assistant, Cindy, were cheerful, kind and speedy. I’m sure they see hundreds of folks, but they treated me as if I was the only one there. Even the ladies at the front who were cleaning pens and getting clipboards ready (one called herself QC – queen of the clipboards) were cheerful. They had a smile for everyone. I wish that everyone could get a shot in a timely way. Prisma Health is certainly doing a wonderful job. Other venues and states should learn from Prisma Health.

I just wanted to say thank you and commend the volunteers, doctors, nurses, and all other personnel involved in this monumental task. I was there on a day where nothing seemed to go right with Prisma receiving the allotted vaccines. The line started before 6 a.m., the allotment did not arrive and we were told the opening would be delayed until noon. However, we were allowed to enter at 9:00 and register. I was grateful to get in out of the cold and sit down. At 11:00 we found out that the shipment was missing and that Prisma was borrowing from another site and it would be 1:00 before the vaccine would be available. The staff did everything they could to make the waiting bearable. They circulated water, hand sanitizer, and snacks for the group inside. I know a couple of medical problems arose and they were handled promptly and professionally. We were kept informed of progress and at 1:00 the vaccines were ready to be given. The process from there was quick, efficient, and professional. I truly appreciate that my second appointment was made while I was waiting my 15 minutes. I wanted to express my appreciation to everyone involved with the process. It was a long but rewarding day and I appreciate the dedication of those involved who do this daily even with risks to their health to help protect us.
