The Office of Diversity and Inclusion recognizes that continuous learning is required to provide care and services to diverse cultures. We partner with Talent and Organization Development and other Prisma Health departments to assist with educating team members, advancing quality patient care and enhancing diversity awareness.

Diversity Learning opportunities
We offer a diverse inclusion learning suite for team members that includes topics such as:
- Implicit/unconscious bias
- Bystander intervention
- Cultural sensitivity, humility and empathy
- Physician talks and forums
We also facilitate and partner with the community to offer educational learnings and host listening and needs assessments.
In addition to offering learning opportunities, we celebrate diversity through monthly cultural observances. Some of the cultural observances that we celebrate include:
- Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
- Black History Month
- Cinco De Mayo
- International Friendship Day
- Martin Luther King Holiday
- Pride Month
- Religious Diversity
